Mission Trip to Queretaro, Mexico

July 29 to August 5, 2008

A team of 11 workers went to Queretaro, Mexico to work alongside Iglesias Filadelfia in downtown Queretaro and with Centro Familiar Christiano in the San Pedro Martyr area of Queretaro. During the day, the team ran a children's crusade and in the evenings the team held evangelistic services.
There were several outreach and service projects completed. The church in San Pedro was in need of some work so the team pitched in and purchased a new toilet and sink for them. One of our team members (John Burns) is very experienced in plumbing and was able to install it in no time. While the temperature is very mild in this area, due to its high elevation, we also blessed them with two fans to circulate the air. The new pastor, Edwardo, is planning on continuing the children's ministry with a Saturday afternoon kid's church.
Each team member had to raise $1,000 for their trip. This covered airfare, room and board.
The team was greatly moved by the children in San Pedro. Several have expressed an interest in returning to the area next year. Please read the blog to grasp the excitement of each day as we saw lives changed not only in those who heard the Gospel but in the team as well. blog:  Queretaro Mission Trip
We hope that you will catch the vision and we will see you on our missions trip in 2009.
