CCMC and 8 Valley Communities Unite for the “Water the World” Campaign to Support St. Vincent de Paul’s June Water Drive

CCMC is delighted to announce that, in collaboration with eight master-planned communities, we collected over 8,750 water bottles in less than ten days. As part of our charitable “HomeWorks” initiative, CCMC matched the donations, bringing the total to 19,000 water bottles.

The dedication of our residents and team members from Power Ranch, Province, Las Sendas, Estrella, Vistancia, Sterling Grove, Tortosa, and Spectrum at Val Vista, as well as our Corporate office team, significantly contributed to the success of this summer’s HomeWorks initiative by raising awareness and participation.

“I am impressed with how quickly our team members and residents came together to achieve this.  Our teams are fantastic and this is a great example that demonstrates the impact that coming together and rallying our communities can have. I couldn’t be happier..”

-David Atrostic, President & COO at CCMC

The CCMC HomeWorks program, which started in 2017, allows and encourages team members to volunteer for projects or organizations they are passionate about. Through an additional eight hours of paid leave, various projects, and volunteer opportunities provided every year, team members learn and appreciate the value of giving back to their local communities.

About 100 Days of Summer

Last year, Arizona experienced extreme temperatures and a record 645 heat-related deaths. To help overcome this, St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) expects to give 6,500 bottles of water each day this summer, which is more than any other time of the year. By staying engaged and supporting SVdP in its efforts, CCMC and its Arizona communities have come together to address this critical need and serve the greater community as SVdP continues to serve those experiencing homelessness.

Every case of water donated makes a difference and can help prevent heat-related illnesses and deaths among some of our community’s most vulnerable members. Water is distributed through SVdP’s four charity dining rooms, within food box deliveries to central and northern Arizona homes, through its Water Relief Trucks throughout the streets and in remote areas, and to seniors, veterans, and adults living with disabilities.
