Tucson Team Brings the Spirit of Giving to AACM’s CANstruction Event

At CCMC, community and creativity go hand in hand—and our Tucson team proved just that during the Arizona Association of Community Managers (AACM) and CHDB Law’s annual Open Doors CANstruction event, held on Friday, April 11, 2025.

This unique event invites teams to build imaginative sculptures entirely out of non-perishable canned good

s, all of which are donated to a local charity afterward. Judged by children from the Pappas Kids Schoolhouse Foundation, the event is as heartwarming as it is inspiring.

Bringing a Donut to Life—With a Purpose

Thanks to generous support from fifteen incredible sponsors, our team was able to purchase over 3,000 cans and the materials needed to construct a whimsical and dynamic donut sculpture. Special recognition goes out to BrightView Landscapes for their hands-on work in helping bring the sculpture to life!

Our creative and collaborative effort earned us the award for Most Non-Perishable Items—a testament to the heart and hustle our team poured into this project.

A Celebration of Community and Kindness

“This year’s CANstruction was a labor of love from our team,” shared Vanessa Lopez, a member of Team Tucson. “We were thrilled to have Gladden Farms host the event at our premier dog park, Paws N Claws. A few residents even stopped by to catch a glimpse of our build in action and share in the excitement!”

The cans were all donated to the Pappas Kids Schoolhouse Foundation, a nonprofit that supports at-risk youth through education and resources. Giving back is more than a moment—it’s a mission we live every day at CCMC.

Thank You to Our Partners

We extend heartfelt thanks to AACM, CHDB Law, and all of our sponsors for making this memorable day possible. Your generosity made a real difference; we couldn’t have done it without you.

Our hearts—and shelves—were full this weekend, and we couldn’t be prouder to be part of a community that gives so generously.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ, November 18, 2024 – CCMC (“CCMC” or the “Company”), a leading community association management company, today announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Charlesbank Capital Partners (“Charlesbank”), a middle-market private investment firm with approximately $19 billion of assets under management as of 9/30/24, through which Charlesbank will become an investor in CCMC alongside CCMC’s management team.

Founded in 1973, CCMC is a prominent provider of community association management services with a focus on large-scale master-planned communities (“MPC”), proudly serving more than 155 communities in 9 states across the country. The new capital partnership will help CCMC continue to deliver on its commitment to providing the highest-quality service to its managed communities and exceptional resident and team member experiences.

“CCMC’s number one priority is to provide the best customer service to our communities and their residents. We couldn’t be more excited to enter into this partnership with Charlesbank, which will enable us to invest for the future and bring new services, capabilities, and technologies to our communities and team members,” said David Atrostic, Chief Executive Officer at CCMC. “With Charlesbank, we have found a like-minded partner that shares our core values, and we strongly believe that the firm’s track record as a relationship-driven partner in the business services sector will enable us to responsibly grow the business while staying true to CCMC’s special culture and honoring its legacy.”

Concurrent with the investment, a new parent company, Community Management Holdings, has been formed to pursue adjacent growth avenues, including serving smaller-scale communities that CCMC does not focus on today. Deb Dulsky, a seasoned executive with over 25 years of experience in the residential services space, has joined as Chief Executive Officer of Community Management Holdings. She brings an extensive track record of sustainable growth and deep experience in relevant people-based businesses, including most recently as CEO of SafeBasements and prior to that as President of HomeServe North America’s HVAC business. As CEO of Community Management Holdings, she will focus especially on overseeing strategic expansion into additional community types while also managing the Company’s approach to M&A.

“I am honored to join this impressive organization, as CCMC has a long history as a dedicated and trusted partner to its communities and team members,” said Ms. Dulsky. “Through Community Management Holdings, we will now be able to invest in new capabilities and deliberate growth, while enabling the existing CCMC team to stay focused on delivering the outstanding customer service and team member experience that clients have come to expect.”

“Over the past 50 years, CCMC has established itself as a leader in the community management industry, with an enviable track record serving large-scale, master planned communities,” said David Katz, Managing Director at Charlesbank. “We look forward to partnering with CCMC to help the business further enhance its value proposition to clients and to employees.”

Griffin Financial Group LLC served as financial advisor and Quarles & Brady LLP provided legal counsel to CCMC. William Blair & Company LLC served as financial advisor and Kirkland & Ellis LLP provided legal counsel to Charlesbank.

CCMC and 8 Valley Communities Unite for the “Water the World” Campaign to Support St. Vincent de Paul’s June Water Drive

CCMC is delighted to announce that, in collaboration with eight master-planned communities, we collected over 8,750 water bottles in less than ten days. As part of our charitable “HomeWorks” initiative, CCMC matched the donations, bringing the total to 19,000 water bottles.

The dedication of our residents and team members from Power Ranch, Province, Las Sendas, Estrella, Vistancia, Sterling Grove, Tortosa, and Spectrum at Val Vista, as well as our Corporate office team, significantly contributed to the success of this summer’s HomeWorks initiative by raising awareness and participation.

“I am impressed with how quickly our team members and residents came together to achieve this.  Our teams are fantastic and this is a great example that demonstrates the impact that coming together and rallying our communities can have. I couldn’t be happier..”

-David Atrostic, President & COO at CCMC

The CCMC HomeWorks program, which started in 2017, allows and encourages team members to volunteer for projects or organizations they are passionate about. Through an additional eight hours of paid leave, various projects, and volunteer opportunities provided every year, team members learn and appreciate the value of giving back to their local communities.

About 100 Days of Summer

Last year, Arizona experienced extreme temperatures and a record 645 heat-related deaths. To help overcome this, St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) expects to give 6,500 bottles of water each day this summer, which is more than any other time of the year. By staying engaged and supporting SVdP in its efforts, CCMC and its Arizona communities have come together to address this critical need and serve the greater community as SVdP continues to serve those experiencing homelessness.

Every case of water donated makes a difference and can help prevent heat-related illnesses and deaths among some of our community’s most vulnerable members. Water is distributed through SVdP’s four charity dining rooms, within food box deliveries to central and northern Arizona homes, through its Water Relief Trucks throughout the streets and in remote areas, and to seniors, veterans, and adults living with disabilities.

After more than a dozen years with CCMC, Chief Financial Officer & President of Shared Services Mary Ann Hopf has announced her plan to retire in April.

“It’s hard to quantify Mary Ann’s incredible impact on CCMC,” says CEO Todd Davidson. “Over the years, she has leveraged her knowledge and experience to strengthen our company’s infrastructure. Her influence has allowed our company to grow and mature successfully. Most importantly, she has personified our core values of integrity, respect, service, and community; and grown a team that does the same. All along, she has been coaching and developing one particular person to succeed her as CFO. This is a testament to her leadership and vision.”

CCMC is pleased to announce the promotion of Kim Wiebelhaus. Kim will succeed Mary Ann Hopf as CFO. In her role, Kim will oversee our Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Community Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Systems and Integrations, and Treasury teams. Over the next few months, Kim will work directly with Mary Ann to transition into her new role.

Kim’s CCMC story began in 2004 when she joined the team as an Accounts Receivable specialist. Her career path has led to several promotions and roles, including community accountant, community controller, director of Financial Services, and since 2015, vice president of Financial Services. Originally from Wisconsin, Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

“I couldn’t be more proud to announce Kim’s promotion,” shares CEO Todd Davidson. “Starting as a quiet force of accuracy and precision, Kim has grown into a skilled mentor and strategic leader of our Financial Services team. Her history with CCMC perfectly demonstrates the opportunity that exists within our company for those who are accountable, intentional, and lead by serving,” explains Todd.

“The CCMC leaders who have coached and guided me over the past 16 years have been incredible examples of integrity and community,” shares Kim. “I would like to personally thank Mary Ann for helping me grow in knowledge and confidence, and Todd for entrusting me with these new responsibilities. I am thrilled to have this opportunity to lead our Financial Services team into the future.”
