The 18,000-acre project will eventually include 19,500 households, 6,000,000 square feet of commercial space, plus a 75 mega-watt solar facility and smart grid technology to ensure that Babcock Ranch generates more clean and renewable energy than it consumes, ensuring that is will become the leading voice in community-based sustainable energy. Destined to become America\u2019s most walkable, hikeable and bikeable town, Babcock Ranch will feature a network of neighborhoods and public resources linked by trails, parks and greenways. Fifty percent of the land will be dedicated to greenways, parks and lakes.
