So it comes as no surprise that one CCMC community managers was recently recognized by the\u00a0<a title=\"Arizona Association of Community Managers\" href=\"http:\/\/aacmonline.org\/link\/linkshow.asp?link_id=149699\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Arizona Association of Community Managers\u00a0<\/a>(AACM) at the Guiding Excellence in Management (GEM) Awards ceremony. Designed to highlight the individual efforts of CAAM\u00ae-certified managers, GEM Award winners and nominees represent the high standards of both their company and the communities they serve. \u201cCCMC is delighted to have one of our managers recognized in this way,\u201d explains division president Delores Ferguson, \u201cShe represent our firm\u2019s commitment to excellence and our collective purpose of creating experiences that connect people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">This year, CCMC took home the AACM \u201cHumanitarian of the Year\u201d GEM. This GEM was awarded to <\/span><a style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\" href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/s9Teasm9n0s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Marsha Hove<\/a><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">, who joined the CCMC team in 2009. She currently serves as the community manager for <\/span><a style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\" href=\"http:\/\/myaviano.com\/home.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Aviano<\/a><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\"> in Phoenix. Under her leadership, the Aviano community has hosted an annual fundraising event called <\/span><a style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\" href=\"http:\/\/baehrchallenge.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Baehr Challenge<\/a><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\"> for the past three years. Designed to build awareness of the importance of physical fitness as a treatment for those suffering from Parkinson\u2019s Disease, this event includes a silent auction, entertainment and 5K obstacle course. Monies raised are donated to the <\/span><a style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.michaeljfox.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Michael J. Fox Foundation<\/a><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">. Marsha has successfully rallied residents, team members and community partners to volunteer their time, participate in the event, and support this important cause. In 2013, approximately $11,000 was raised by 375 participants.
